Helping Hand

Helping Hand is the story of a group of animals living in an idyllic garden paradise overseen by a deity known only as ‘Helping Hand’, who provides them with material gifts and looks after them in return for them tending the garden.

The group is thrown into turmoil when Helping Hand disappears from their life, leaving a void in their belief system, and this crisis of faith threatens to tear them apart.

We watch the group as they struggle with their new reality, and follow Perri - a devoted disciple who struggles to adapt to their new reality of living without the guiding presence of Helping Hand. To compound their worries, with their belief shattered, the group turns to Nihilism, choosing now to care about nothing, leaving the garden to fall into disrepair. Perri struggles with their own shaken belief, and also with a desire to keep the group together in adversity. But perhaps Perri’s belief was misplaced all along. 

This comic currently runs to 24 pages, and was created early 2025.

Helping Hand contains themes of dealing with loss, philosophy and independent spirit, wrapped up in a cute art style with a strong message of friendship at its core.
